Onemata, a name derived from “rich, fertile soil,” gathers ingredients from farms and fisheries across New Zealand. The restaurant has a luxe atmosphere and genuine dining experience, with a menu crafted with specialty ingredients, showcasing local suppliers. Many dishes are finished in the showcase oven with incorporated char grills. The oven stands as the centrepiece feature of the open kitchen with dedicated chefs perparing meals within the dining area directly infront of guests.

For those who suffer from Acute Menu Decision-Making Anxiety, the team have helped matters by letting diners create their own dish from the stone hearth oven by pairing meat and sauce of their choice together with sides to match. Amongst the options are Pamu Farm's venison, Te Mana lamb shoulder, caramelised cauliflower and market vegetables freshly sourced and prepared daily.
